Meet Lisa

 

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist committed to helping individuals achieve their nutrition and health goals. My customized plans address clients' current level of health, their specific needs and their lifestyle.  As a member of The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine and The National Lipid Association, I am 

up-to-date with dietary recommendations and guidelines in order to provide the best care for you. 

Kale Cannellini Bean Soup

This family favorite is both easy and delicious!

​

​

14 oz can of cannellini ( white kidney) beans

5 lacinato kale leaves, cut into pieces

2 quarts vegetable broth, low sodium

6 garlic cloves, minced

2 TBS olive oil

8 sage leaves, fresh

2 tsp rosemary dried, minced or

         1 TBS fresh

Black pepper to taste

Saute garlic in olive oil. Put broth, kale, sage, and rosemary and black pepper into large pot and simmer for 20 minutes. Add rinsed and drained cannellini beans to the pot. Let simmer for 10' or more.

This hearty soup with dark leafy greens and beans provides fiber and iron.
